So, what is a Web 2.0 tool?

Web 2.0 tools are relatively new to the internet.  Although definitions vary, a general defnintion is: tools that are user-designed and user-generated; they allow us to share information, collaborate and communicate in real-time via the internet .  One accepted definition is given by Wikipedia.  Examples of these "tools" that most of us are familiar with on a personal or professional level include YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Blogs.  Edudemic even lists the "35 Best Web 2.0 Tools Chosen by Teachers."  This staff development will give you an introduction to several of the tools listed on this site.  (To access the links, simply click on the blue text.)
